UN Number ADR Plates and Orange Panels
UN-number ADR plates are part of the orange identification system used to display the international identification number of a dangerous substance on a vehicle. In some applications the upper field carries a hazard identification number while the lower field carries the UN number; the required information must be confirmed for the actual transport operation.
Fixed-number panels, changeable numeral systems and different frame constructions can be selected according to the fleet operation. Changeable systems may be useful when the same vehicle carries different loads, but the numbers must always remain correct, complete and clearly readable.
Reflite can define the physical plate type, dimensions and mounting arrangement. The actual UN number and any hazard identification number should never be guessed from the product itself; they must be verified from the cargo classification and transport documents.
